Lalbagh Flower show - Aug 2010

Flower show will happen twice in a year. It will remain for 1 week. January 26th and August 15th. Entrance fee was 30/- on weekday and 40/- on weekend. *No separate fees for Camera :-) *

Lalbagh Flower show is feast for macro shooters and flower lovers. I was fortunate to visit Lalbagh on mid of the week by taking half-day leave ;-) I enjoyed photographing the flowers for more than 2 hours. Every time they make a model of famous places. This time it was INDIA GATE made of Roses & Jasmine. Very artfully done.

Best part is MTR restaurant is walkable distance from Lalbagh main gate. So I had a stomach full lunch after capturing lots of flowers. These benefits are actually add-on for photography ;-)

kuppalli - ಕುಪ್ಪಳ್ಳಿ

ಕುಪ್ಪಳ್ಳಿ - ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮಸ್ಠಳ.

ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ಇಂದ 18km ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಲು ಇರುವುದು "ಕವಿಮನೆ" ಮತ್ತು "ಕವಿಶೈಲ" .

ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ, ಉಳಿಯಲು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸಣ್ಣ ಟೀ ಅಂಗಡಿ ಇದೆ. ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯಬಹುದು.

"ಕವಿಮನೆ" -

ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿ, ಬೆಳೆಸಿ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಮನೆ - ಕವಿಮನೆ . ಈಗ ಸರಕಾರ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಪ್ರತೀಕವಾಗಿ ಕವಿಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮಾರಕವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿರುವ ಅತೀ ಸುಂದರ ಮನೆ ಕವಿಮನೆ. ಜಿಟಿ ಜಿಟಿ ಮಳೆ, ಹಚ್ಚ ಹಸಿರು,ಹೂವು, ಕೊಳ, ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಈ ಮನೆ ನೋಡಲು ಬಹಳ ಸುಂದರ.

Bannerghatta Butterfly Park

ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ - ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 20 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದರ ವಿಷೇಶತೆ ಎಂದರೆ "ಚಿಟ್ಟೆ ಉದ್ಯಾನ". ಇದು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊದಲ ಚಿಟ್ಟೆ ಉದ್ಯಾನ. ನೀವೂ ಭೇಟಿಕೊಡಿ.

Bannerghatta National Park - May be around 20 Kms from Bangalore. It contains a very special space for Butterflies - "Butterfly Park". I came to know that it is the First of its kind in India. It is worth visiting.

Best time to visit : August to November
Entry Fees : 25/-
Camera Fees : 25/-

One thing to be kept in mind is, this Butterfly park is may be 400-500 metres away from the National Park. The tickets to be bought separately here in Butterfly Park (including camera).
